Job Requirements

  • Meets all state requirements to work as a Pharmacy Technician such as minimum age, qualification, registration, certification, or licensure
  • Must obtain National Pharmacy Technician Certification issued by PTCB or NHA within 9 months of job entry
  • Capable of working flexible hours and shifts as assigned
  • Must comply with company policies including drug-free workplace
  • Ability to stand and perform physical tasks related to stocking and inventory
  • Basic math and computer skills for prescription data entry and processing
  • Ability to communicate effectively with customers, pharmacists, and team members

Job Qualifications

  • Meets all state requirements to work as a Pharmacy Technician
  • Obtain National Pharmacy Technician Certification within 9 months of job entry
  • Ability to operate pharmacy software and cash register systems
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Knowledge of prescription fulfillment processes and pharmacy regulations
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information ethically
  • Demonstrated teamwork and adaptability in a fast-paced retail environment

Job Duties

  • Process member purchases by operating cash registers and managing different payment types
  • Maintain merchandise presentation by stocking, rotating, and organizing merchandise and supplies
  • Remove damaged or out-of-date merchandise and set up clean, attractive product displays
  • Handle prescription data entry and support the prescription fulfillment process with pharmacists
  • Process third-party insurance claims and manage prescription-related issues and approvals
  • Provide patient member service by assisting with prescription orders, purchases, and inquiries
  • Complete required documentation and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
