Job Requirements

  • Meets all state requirements to work as a pharmacy technician such as minimum age, qualification, registration, certification, and or licensure when required by the State Board of Pharmacy
  • must obtain National Pharmacy Technician Certification issued by PTCB or NHA within 9 months of job entry

  • knowledge of pharmacy software and automated dispensing systems
  • strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • excellent communication and customer service skills
  • ability to work collaboratively in a team environment

Job Duties

  • Process member purchases by operating cash registers and related hardware
  • maintain merchandise presentation in the pharmacy by stocking, rotating, and organizing merchandise
  • handle prescription data entry into pharmacy software
  • assist pharmacists in the prescription fulfillment process by counting, measuring, mixing, and labeling medications
  • provide member assistance during prescription pickup, verifying patient information and managing documentation
  • monitor and resolve issues in the prescription fulfillment process, including insurance claims and inventory status
  • complete work assignments and collaborate with team members to meet deadlines and improve processes
