Job Requirements

  • Meets all state requirements to work as a Pharmacy Technician
  • Minimum age requirement as per state law
  • Registration, certification, or licensure as required by State Board of Pharmacy
  • Must obtain National Pharmacy Technician Certification issued by PTCB (PTCE) or NHA (ExCPT) within 9 months of job entry
  • Able to comply with company policies including drug-free workplace regulations
  • Ability to operate pharmacy software and hardware
  • Must be honest, fair, and maintain high ethical standards
  • Willingness to embrace company culture and values
  • Ability to handle sensitive information confidentially

Job Qualifications

  • Meets all state requirements to work as a Pharmacy Technician
  • Obtained or able to obtain National Pharmacy Technician Certification (PTCB or NHA) within 9 months of hire
  • Ability to operate cash registers and pharmacy equipment
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Basic understanding of pharmaceutical terminology and prescription processes
  • Ability to work in a team and adapt to change

Job Duties

  • Process member purchases using cash registers and appropriate payment procedures
  • Maintain merchandise presentation by stocking, rotating, and organizing pharmacy supplies
  • Handle claims and returns following company policies
  • Perform pricing, signage, and inventory verification tasks
  • Monitor and resolve prescription fulfillment issues including insurance claims and inventory shortages
  • Assist pharmacist in prescription processing, insurance claims, and member service
  • Enter prescription data accurately into pharmacy software and fill prescriptions following safety protocols
  • Support prescription pickup process while ensuring compliance with HIPAA and company regulations
  • Collaborate with managers, coworkers, and customers to complete work priorities
  • Adhere to company policies, ethical standards, and promote a positive work culture
