Job Requirements
- Meets all state requirements such as minimum age, qualification, registration, certification, and/or licensure
- Must obtain National Pharmacy Technician Certification issued by PTCB or NHA within 9 months of job entry
- Ability to operate cash registers and pharmacy-related equipment
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work as part of a team
- Ability to comply with company drug-free workplace policies
- Availability to work flexible hours as needed
Job Qualifications
- Meets state requirements to work as a Pharmacy Technician
- Obtains National Pharmacy Technician Certification within 9 months of employment
- Ability to operate pharmacy software and related hardware
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Knowledge of pharmaceutical terminology and procedures
- Capable of multitasking and managing priorities effectively
- Adheres to company policies and ethical standards
Job Duties
- Process member purchases by operating cash registers and using appropriate procedures for different payment types and items sold
- Maintain merchandise presentation by stocking, rotating, pricing, and organizing pharmacy merchandise
- Handle claims, returns, and documentation in compliance with company policies
- Monitor and resolve prescription fulfillment issues including insurance claims and authorizations
- Assist pharmacists by entering prescription data, filling prescriptions, and labeling containers
- Provide patient member service by responding to inquiries, resolving issues, and promoting products
- Comply with company policies, promote a safe work environment, and participate in continuous improvement efforts
