Job Requirements

  • Meets all state requirements such as minimum age, qualification, registration, certification, and/or licensure
  • Must obtain National Pharmacy Technician Certification issued by PTCB or NHA within 9 months of job entry
  • Ability to operate cash registers and pharmacy-related equipment
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work as part of a team
  • Ability to comply with company drug-free workplace policies
  • Availability to work flexible hours as needed

Job Qualifications

  • Meets state requirements to work as a Pharmacy Technician
  • Obtains National Pharmacy Technician Certification within 9 months of employment
  • Ability to operate pharmacy software and related hardware
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Knowledge of pharmaceutical terminology and procedures
  • Capable of multitasking and managing priorities effectively
  • Adheres to company policies and ethical standards

Job Duties

  • Process member purchases by operating cash registers and using appropriate procedures for different payment types and items sold
  • Maintain merchandise presentation by stocking, rotating, pricing, and organizing pharmacy merchandise
  • Handle claims, returns, and documentation in compliance with company policies
  • Monitor and resolve prescription fulfillment issues including insurance claims and authorizations
  • Assist pharmacists by entering prescription data, filling prescriptions, and labeling containers
  • Provide patient member service by responding to inquiries, resolving issues, and promoting products
  • Comply with company policies, promote a safe work environment, and participate in continuous improvement efforts
