Job Requirements
- Meets all state requirements to work as a pharmacy technician such as minimum age, qualification, registration, certification, and licensure when required by the State Board of Pharmacy
- Must obtain National Pharmacy Technician Certification issued by PTCB or NHA within 9 months of job entry
- Ability to operate cash registers and use pharmacy software
- Ability to communicate effectively with members and team
- Compliance with company policies and procedures
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize work
- Commitment to integrity, confidentiality, and ethical standards
- Willingness to work flexible hours and shifts as needed
Job Qualifications
- Meets all state requirements to work as a pharmacy technician including registration, certification, or licensure when required

- Experience in operating cash registers and pharmacy-related equipment
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to accurately enter and transcribe prescription data
- Knowledge of pharmacy laws, regulations, and company policies
- Ability to maintain a safe and organized work environment
- Demonstrated teamwork and collaboration skills
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and procedures
Job Duties
- Process member purchases by operating cash registers and handling different payment types
- Maintain merchandise presentation by stocking, rotating, removing damaged goods, organizing displays, and pricing merchandise
- Maintain the pharmacy area by handling claims, returns, pricing, creating signs, verifying inventory, identifying shrink and damages, ensuring safety, and completing paperwork
- Monitor and resolve prescription fulfillment issues including insurance claims, inventory shortages, and physician authorizations
- Promote pharmacy's reputation by assisting pharmacists, processing insurance claims and prescription orders, assisting members, and handling documentation
- Provide patient/member service by greeting, identifying needs, assisting with prescriptions and merchandise, and ensuring a safe shopping environment
- Enter prescription data into pharmacy software and accurately fill prescriptions, including measuring and labeling medication
- Assist members during prescription pickup and ensure compliance with HIPAA and third-party payor documentation
- Complete assignments by collaborating with team, prioritizing tasks, communicating progress, and adapting to changes
- Comply with company policies, ethics, and integrity standards while fostering a respectful and inclusive workplace culture
- Support store goals through teamwork, mentoring, and continuous improvement
