Job Requirements
- Meets all state requirements to work as a pharmacy technician such as minimum age, qualification, registration, certification, and/or licensure
- Must obtain National Pharmacy Technician Certification issued by PTCB or NHA within 9 months of job entry
- Ability to operate cash registers and related hardware
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to maintain accurate prescription data and medication preparation
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Commitment to comply with company policies and ethical standards
Job Qualifications
- Meets all state requirements to work as a Pharmacy Technician
- Pharmacy Technician certification required such as National Pharmacy Technician Certification within 9 months of employment
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Knowledge of pharmacy software and prescription processing
- Ability to comply with regulatory and company standards
Job Duties
- Process member purchases by operating cash registers and handling various payment methods
- Maintain pharmacy merchandise presentation by stocking, rotating, and organizing merchandise
- Manage pharmacy area following company policies including handling claims and returns, pricing, signage, and shrink identification
- Monitor and resolve problems in prescription fulfillment such as processing insurance claims and alerting patients of stock issues
- Assist pharmacist in prescription fulfillment including data entry, medication preparation, and labeling
- Provide patient member service by initiating prescription orders, resolving concerns, and promoting products
- Complete assigned tasks by collaborating with team members, prioritizing work, and adhering to policies
