Job Requirements
- Meets all state requirements to work as a pharmacy technician
- minimum age as required by state
- registration, certification, and/or licensure as required by the State Board of Pharmacy
- must obtain National Pharmacy Technician Certification issued by PTCB or NHA within 9 months of employment
- ability to operate cash registers and related hardware
- ability to handle physical tasks related to stocking and merchandise presentation

- experience in pharmacy or retail pharmacy environment preferred
- strong attention to detail and accuracy
- excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- basic computer proficiency
- knowledge of pharmacy laws and regulations
Job Duties
- Process member purchases by operating cash registers and related hardware using appropriate procedures for payment types and items sold
- maintain merchandise presentation in the pharmacy by stocking, rotating, and cleaning merchandise and supplies
- handle claims and returns, price merchandise, create signs, arrange and organize merchandise, identify shrink and damages
- monitor and resolve issues in the prescription fulfillment process including insurance claims and physician authorizations
- promote and maintain the pharmacy's professional reputation by assisting in prescription fulfillment and managing paperwork
- provide patient and member service including acknowledging members, initiating prescription orders, promoting products, resolving concerns, assisting with purchases, and maintaining a safe shopping environment
- enter prescription data accurately into pharmacy software ensuring completeness and compliance
