Job Requirements
- Enrolled in an accredited pharmacy school
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of patient information
- Knowledge of local, state and federal pharmacy laws and regulations
- Ability to provide excellent customer service
- Ability to perform multiple tasks including stocking, organizing and operating equipment
- Effective communication skills
- Willingness to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced retail pharmacy environment
- Commitment to integrity and ethical conduct
- Compliance with Walmart’s drug-free workplace policy.
Job Qualifications
- Enrolled in an accredited pharmacy school
- Pharmacy-based immunization delivery certification (preferred)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Basic knowledge of pharmacy practices and procedures
- Customer service experience is a plus
- Detail-oriented and organized
- Ability to operate relevant pharmacy and retail equipment
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and compliance with regulations
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
Job Duties
- Ensure confidentiality of information documentation and assigned records as required by company policies and local state and federal guidelines
- Assist with processing prescription and/or over-the-counter orders and purchases
- Stock and secure pharmacy supplies and merchandise
- Enter prescription information and/or fill prescriptions
- Complete, maintain and secure paperwork, forms and required documentation
- Provide customer service by acknowledging customers, identifying their needs, assisting with purchasing decisions, locating merchandise, resolving customer issues and promoting products and services
- Operate cash registers and related equipment to process customer purchases using appropriate procedures
- Receive and stock merchandise and supplies from distribution centers and suppliers
- Maintain the pharmacy area by zoning, arranging and organizing merchandise, identifying shrink and damages, and ensuring a safe work environment
- Maintain merchandise presentation by stocking, rotating merchandise, removing damaged or out-of-date goods, setting up displays, signing and pricing merchandise appropriately
- Follow company procedures for handling claims and returns
- Promote a respectful and inclusive workplace culture by embracing diversity and supporting team development
- Maintain high standards of integrity, ethics and compliance in all activities
- Serve customers by delivering results and making informed decisions with consideration for team impact
- Drive continuous improvement by adopting new technologies and supporting change.
