- preferred six months of retail experience
- preferred prior experience with Walgreens
- preferred good math skills for prescription accuracy
- preferred good computer skills
- preferred knowledge of store inventory control
- preferred PTCB certification
Job Duties
- Models and delivers a distinctive and delightful customer experience
- registers sales on assigned cash register
- provides courteous, fair, friendly, and efficient checkout service
- assists the pharmacist under direct supervision by using pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information and process prescriptions
- engages customers and patients by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services
- resolves customer issues and answers questions
- shares customer service best practices
- recommends items for sale and trade-up or companion items
- processes voids, returns, rain checks, refunds, and exchanges
- keeps counters and shelves clean and well merchandised
- checks in and prices merchandise
- assists in filling prescriptions by retrieving, counting, and pouring pharmaceutical drugs
- reports prescription errors to pharmacist
- handles telephone calls that do not require pharmacist attention
- processes manual claims for third-party prescription services
- supports inventory management activities
- ensures compliance with laws regarding regulated products
- constructs and maintains displays
- assists with product placement and stock rotation
- provides customer service in the photo area, including digital passport photo service and promotional photo products
- fulfills web pick-up responsibilities
- assists with store maintenance
- complies with company policies and respectful coworker relationships
- completes special assignments as assigned
