Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English
- willingness to work flexible schedule including evenings and weekends
- ability to use pharmacy systems and handle prescription data accurately
- ability to provide courteous and friendly customer service
- ability to perform physical tasks including lifting and standing for long periods
- must adhere to company policies and state and federal regulations
- must maintain PTCB certification or complete training as required
- good communication and interpersonal skills
Job Qualifications
- Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico)
- willingness to work flexible schedule including evenings and weekends
- prefer six months of experience in a retail environment
- prefer prior work experience with Walgreens
- prefer good math skills to fill prescriptions accurately
- prefer good computer skills
- prefer knowledge of store inventory control
- prefer PTCB certification
Job Duties
- Models and delivers a distinctive and delightful customer experience
- registers sales on assigned cash register, provides courteous and efficient checkout service
- assists the pharmacist under supervision by using pharmacy systems to process prescriptions
- engages customers by greeting and offering assistance with products and services
- recommends items for sale and registers customer purchases
- maintains counters and shelves clean and well merchandised, takes inventory and prices merchandise
- performs duties assigned by Pharmacy Manager and Store Manager including entering patient and drug information and verifying prescriptions
- reports prescription errors immediately to pharmacist and adheres to company quality improvement policies
- handles telephone calls related to prescription inquiries
- processes manual claims for third party prescription services
- assists with inventory management activities such as ordering and checking pharmaceuticals
- ensures compliance with laws regarding regulated products
- constructs and maintains merchandise displays
- assists with product placement and stock rotation
- provides customer service in the photo area including digital passport photo service
- assumes web pick-up responsibilities
- assists with store maintenance to ensure clean and orderly appearance
- complies with all company policies and procedures
- completes special assignments and other tasks as required
