Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- previous experience in retail or pharmacy settings preferred
- successful completion or willingness to complete PTCB certification
- familiarity with pharmacy computer systems and prescription processing
- good communication and interpersonal skills
- ability to stand for extended periods
- proficiency in handling cash and transactions
- knowledge of health and safety regulations pertaining to pharmacy work
- capacity to perform multiple tasks and work under supervision
- willingness to comply with company policies and maintain professional conduct

Job Duties
- Models and delivers a distinctive and delightful customer experience
- registers sales on assigned cash register, provides customers with courteous, fair, friendly, and efficient checkout service
- assists the pharmacist, under direct supervision, in the practice of pharmacy using pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information and process prescriptions
- engages customers and patients by greeting them and offering assistance, resolves customer issues and answers questions
- models and shares customer service best practices with team members
- provides customers with courteous, friendly, fast, and efficient service
- recommends items for sale and trade-up or companion products
- registers customer purchases, processes voids, returns, rain checks, refunds, and exchanges
- maintains clean and well-merchandised counters and shelves, takes inventory, prices merchandise
- assists in filling prescriptions by retrieving, counting, and pouring drugs, verifying accuracy and checking for interactions
- reports prescription errors to pharmacist and adheres to related policies
- adheres to Good Faith Dispensing policies
- handles telephone calls including those to physicians
- processes manual claims for third party prescription services
- supports inventory management activities including ordering and stocking pharmaceuticals
- ensures compliance with laws regarding regulated products like alcohol and tobacco
- constructs and maintains promotional displays
- assists with product separation and stock rotation
- provides photo area services including digital passport photos
- assumes web pick-up responsibilities and order fulfillment
- assists with maintaining store cleanliness and appearance
- complies with company policies and maintains respectful coworker relationships
- completes special assignments as directed
- earns and maintains PTCB certification and attends continuing education training as required
