Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- ability to operate cash registers
- basic knowledge of pharmacy systems and procedures
- excellent customer service skills
- effective communication and interpersonal skills
- ability to follow company policies and procedures
- willingness to obtain and maintain PTCB certification or equivalent
- ability to perform physical tasks such as stocking and maintaining merchandise
- compliance with state and federal regulations related to pharmacy practice.

Job Duties
- Models and delivers a distinctive and delightful customer experience
- registers sales on assigned cash register, provides customers with courteous, fair, friendly, and efficient checkout service
- assists the pharmacist under direct supervision in the practice of pharmacy, using pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information and process prescriptions
- engages customers by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services, resolves customer issues and answers questions
- recommends items for sale to customers and recommends trade-up and companion items
- maintains counters and shelves clean and well merchandised, takes inventory, and maintains records
- performs duties assigned by Pharmacy Manager, Staff Pharmacist and Store Manager including entering patient and drug information, filling prescriptions, verifying medicine correctness, and checking for possible interactions
- reports prescription errors to pharmacist immediately and adheres to company policies
- handles telephone calls that do not require pharmacist attention
- processes manual claims for third-party prescription services
- assists pharmacy department with inventory management activities
- ensures compliance with state and local laws regarding regulated products
- constructs and maintains promotional and seasonal displays
- assists with stock rotation and product placement
- provides customer service in the photo area including digital passport photo service
- assumes web pick-up responsibilities
- assists with store maintenance ensuring clean and orderly appearance
- complies with all company policies and maintains respectful coworker relationships
- completes special assignments and other tasks as assigned
- earns and maintains PTCB certification and attends training for continuing education.
