Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- willingness to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
- ability to communicate effectively in English
- basic math skills
- ability to operate cash register and computer systems
- ability to follow detailed instructions and procedures
- ability to engage customers and provide excellent service
- ability to work collaboratively with pharmacy and retail teams
- commitment to complying with all pharmacy and company policies
- PTCB certification or willingness to obtain it
- ability to handle inventory management tasks
- adherence to safety and quality standards
- ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
Job Qualifications
- Fluent in reading writing and speaking English
- ability to work flexible schedules including evenings and weekends
- experience in retail environment preferred
- prior work experience with Walgreens preferred
- good math skills for accurate prescription filling
- good computer skills
- knowledge of store inventory control preferred
- PTCB certification preferred
- maintains continuing education in healthcare and pharmacy
- understands and complies with pharmacy code of conduct
Job Duties
- Models and delivers a distinctive and delightful customer experience
- registers sales on assigned cash register and provides courteous and efficient checkout service
- assists pharmacists with processing prescriptions using pharmacy systems under direct supervision
- engages customers by greeting and offering assistance with products and services, resolving issues and answering questions
- recommends items for sale and companion products
- maintains inventory and merchandising displays
- performs duties assigned by Pharmacy Manager and Staff Pharmacist including entering patient information and ensuring prescription accuracy
- reports prescription errors promptly and adheres to company pharmacy policies
- handles telephone calls related to prescriptions including physician communications
- processes manual claims for third-party prescription programs
- supports pharmacy inventory management activities
- ensures compliance with state and local laws for regulated products
- assists with store maintenance and cleanliness
- provides customer service in photo area including digital photo services and product recommendations
- assumes web pick-up responsibilities
- complies with company policies and maintains respectful coworker relationships
- completes special assignments and trainings as required
