Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • prior retail or customer service experience preferred
  • ability to operate cash register and manage transactions
  • familiarity with pharmacy systems desirable
  • strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to pharmacy regulations
  • good organizational and multitasking abilities
  • willingness to attend training and earn PTCB certification
  • ability to stand for extended periods
  • basic computer skills
  • compliance with state and federal laws regarding pharmaceutical products.

Job Duties

  • Models and delivers a distinctive and delightful customer experience
  • registers sales on assigned cash register, provides customers with courteous, fair, friendly, and efficient checkout service
  • assists pharmacist under direct supervision using pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information and process prescriptions
  • engages customers by greeting and offering assistance with products and services
  • resolves customer issues and answers questions to ensure positive experience
  • models and shares customer service best practices with team members
  • provides customers with courteous, friendly, fast, and efficient service
  • recommends items for sale and companion items
  • registers customer purchases, processes voids, returns, rain checks, refunds, and exchanges
  • assists customers in locating products
  • maintains clean and well-merchandised shelves and counters
  • takes inventory and maintains records
  • performs duties assigned by Pharmacy Manager, Staff Pharmacist and Store Manager including processing prescriptions
  • reports prescription errors immediately
  • handles telephone calls not requiring pharmacist’s attention
  • processes manual claims for third party prescription services
  • supports inventory management activities
  • ensures compliance with state and local laws regarding regulated products
  • constructs and maintains store displays
  • assists with food item separation and stock rotation
  • provides customer service in photo area including digital passport photo service
  • assumes web pick-up responsibilities
  • assists with store maintenance and appearance
  • complies with company policies and maintains respectful relationships
  • completes special assignments as assigned
  • earns and maintains PTCB certification
  • attends ongoing training and acquires continuing education credits.
