Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- prior retail or customer service experience preferred
- ability to operate cash register and manage transactions
- familiarity with pharmacy systems desirable
- strong communication and interpersonal skills
- ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to pharmacy regulations
- good organizational and multitasking abilities
- willingness to attend training and earn PTCB certification
- ability to stand for extended periods
- basic computer skills
- compliance with state and federal laws regarding pharmaceutical products.

Job Duties
- Models and delivers a distinctive and delightful customer experience
- registers sales on assigned cash register, provides customers with courteous, fair, friendly, and efficient checkout service
- assists pharmacist under direct supervision using pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information and process prescriptions
- engages customers by greeting and offering assistance with products and services
- resolves customer issues and answers questions to ensure positive experience
- models and shares customer service best practices with team members
- provides customers with courteous, friendly, fast, and efficient service
- recommends items for sale and companion items
- registers customer purchases, processes voids, returns, rain checks, refunds, and exchanges
- assists customers in locating products
- maintains clean and well-merchandised shelves and counters
- takes inventory and maintains records
- performs duties assigned by Pharmacy Manager, Staff Pharmacist and Store Manager including processing prescriptions
- reports prescription errors immediately
- handles telephone calls not requiring pharmacist’s attention
- processes manual claims for third party prescription services
- supports inventory management activities
- ensures compliance with state and local laws regarding regulated products
- constructs and maintains store displays
- assists with food item separation and stock rotation
- provides customer service in photo area including digital passport photo service
- assumes web pick-up responsibilities
- assists with store maintenance and appearance
- complies with company policies and maintains respectful relationships
- completes special assignments as assigned
- earns and maintains PTCB certification
- attends ongoing training and acquires continuing education credits.
