  • willingness to work flexible schedules including evenings and weekends
  • preferred six months of retail experience
  • preferred prior Walgreens work experience
  • strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • ability to operate cash register and store equipment
  • ability to handle cash and complete transactions accurately
  • knowledge of store policies and regulations
  • teamwork and respectful attitude towards coworkers

Job Duties

  • Models and delivers a distinctive and delightful customer experience
  • registers sales on assigned cash register and provides courteous, fair, and efficient checkout service
  • engages customers by greeting and offering assistance with products and services
  • resolves customer issues and answers questions
  • shares customer service best practices with team members
  • develops strong relationships with valued customers
  • registers customer purchases, collects cash, processes voids, returns, and exchanges
  • recommends items and assists with OTC products
  • operates pharmacy systems for prescription status
  • reports prescription errors to pharmacist immediately
  • maintains clean and well-merchandised counters and shelves
  • takes inventory and maintains records
  • checks in and prices merchandise
  • implements asset protection procedures
  • ensures compliance with laws related to regulated products
  • constructs and maintains promotional displays
  • assists with store maintenance
  • complies with company policies and maintains respectful coworker relationships
  • completes special assignments as assigned
  • attends training and completes required personal development learning
