Job Requirements
- Bachelor of Science degree in engineering, engineering technology (including manufacturing technology), computer science, data science, mathematics, physics, chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement
- 10+ years of experience in a flight engineering discipline
- 5+ years of experience leading teams
- Active U.S. Secret Security Clearance
- U.S. citizenship
- Ability to work 100% onsite at the selected location
- Experience managing flight technology development, integration, vendor management and customer interaction
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science degree in engineering, engineering technology (including manufacturing technology), computer science, data science, mathematics, physics, chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement
- 10+ years of experience in a flight engineering discipline
- 5+ years of experience leading teams
- Ability to obtain a Top-Secret clearance
- Prior management or team lead experience
- Excellent communication skills
- Experience with Boeing military programs and processes
- Experience developing and administering budgets, schedules and performance standards
- Prior oversight of technical effort of medium sized or multi-skill teams
- Mentoring or technical lead engineer experience
Job Duties
- Manages a team of Flight engineers
- Works with Chief Engineers to develop strategy for Flight Technologies and tools across Phantom Works
- Coordinates Flight work among various disciplines and locations to assure consistent Phantom Works Support by Flight aligned engineering
- Develops budgets and plans, executes integrated departmental plans, policies and procedures and provides input on departmental business and technical strategies, goals, objectives
- Proposes new work
- Interfaces with program management, customers and vendor personnel
- Evaluates vendor proposals and manage contracted work
- Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes
