Job Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in engineering, engineering technology (including manufacturing technology), computer science, data science, mathematics, physics, chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement
  • 10+ years of experience in a flight engineering discipline
  • 5+ years of experience leading teams
  • Active U.S. Secret Security Clearance
  • U.S. citizenship
  • Ability to work 100% onsite at the selected location
  • Experience managing flight technology development, integration, vendor management and customer interaction

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science degree in engineering, engineering technology (including manufacturing technology), computer science, data science, mathematics, physics, chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement
  • 10+ years of experience in a flight engineering discipline
  • 5+ years of experience leading teams
  • Ability to obtain a Top-Secret clearance
  • Prior management or team lead experience
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Experience with Boeing military programs and processes
  • Experience developing and administering budgets, schedules and performance standards
  • Prior oversight of technical effort of medium sized or multi-skill teams
  • Mentoring or technical lead engineer experience

Job Duties

  • Manages a team of Flight engineers
  • Works with Chief Engineers to develop strategy for Flight Technologies and tools across Phantom Works
  • Coordinates Flight work among various disciplines and locations to assure consistent Phantom Works Support by Flight aligned engineering
  • Develops budgets and plans, executes integrated departmental plans, policies and procedures and provides input on departmental business and technical strategies, goals, objectives
  • Proposes new work
  • Interfaces with program management, customers and vendor personnel
  • Evaluates vendor proposals and manage contracted work
  • Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes
