Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Experience working with military populations preferred
- Ability to deliver presentations and conduct workshops
- Proficiency in using technology for virtual counseling
- Knowledge of Department of Defense protocols and regulations
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
- Must be authorized to work on-site at military installations
- Ability to manage confidentiality and ethical responsibilities
- Must be adaptable and willing to learn
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in finance, counseling, social work, or a related field preferred
- Experience in financial counseling or personal financial management
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Ability to work effectively with military personnel and their families
- Proficiency in virtual counseling and electronic communication tools
- Knowledge of military culture and financial challenges
- Certification in financial counseling or related credentials is a plus
- Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism
Job Duties
- Provide personal financial counseling to service members and their families
- Assist service members in establishing spending plans for extended absences
- Develop and distribute informational financial materials
- Coordinate and provide personal financial management classes and workshops
- Respond to requests for age-appropriate classes or seminars
- Utilize virtual counseling and electronic communication platforms
- Manage duty to warn situations according to DoD protocol
- Communicate with leadership and participate in supervision and quality improvement activities
- Participate in regular training and contract-related activities
- Perform all other duties as assigned
