Job Requirements
- bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 3+ years of financial counseling experience
- U.S. citizenship
- fluent English speaker
- hold certification as AFC, CFP or ChFC
- able to obtain favorably adjudicated Tier 2 investigation
- able to pass OCI process
- bilingual in English and Spanish if required by contract
Job Qualifications
- bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience
- minimum 3 years of financial counseling experience
- hold one of the following certifications: Accredited Financial Counselor (AFC), Certified Financial Planner (CFP), Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC)
- fluency in English
- ability to obtain a favorably adjudicated Tier 2 investigation
- ability to pass the Organizational Conflicts of Interest process
- U.S. citizenship
- bilingual in English and Spanish preferred
Job Duties
- provides personal financial counseling and management services directly to service members and their families
- assists service members in establishing a spending plan for extended absences
- develops and makes available informational financial materials to service members and families
- coordinates, publicizes and provides a wide variety of personal financial management classes and workshops
- responds to requests for age-appropriate classes or seminars
- utilizes virtual counseling or other electronic communication modes effectively
- manages duty to warn situations according to DoD protocol
- communicates with leadership and participates in supervision and quality improvement activities
- performs other duties as assigned
