Job Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a private or personal chef in a private household
  • Non-smoker and non-vaper
  • Must pass an in-depth background investigation and have strong professional references
  • Excellent communication skills
  • able to take direction and handle feedback with professionalism
  • Warm, grounded demeanor with a sense of humor and calm under pressure
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to plan menus and execute events independently
  • Local candidates only (no relocation assistance provided)
  • Nearby all-day parking available at Chrissy Field (2 blocks away)
  • Candidates must be vaccinated for COVID and flu

Job Duties

  • Prepare and serve a simple lunch daily for the principal
  • Cook dinner and meals for the following days (no dinner service required)
  • Plan and execute occasional plated, multi-course dinner parties for small groups (4-16)
  • Stock and maintain pantry and refrigerator, ensuring freshness and quality of ingredients
  • Manage food sourcing and grocery shopping (purchase top-quality ingredients only)
  • Create weekly menus aligned with the client's tastes and dietary preferences
  • Prepare baked goods (cookies, brownies, and other simple desserts)
  • Maintain a clean, organized kitchen environment and adhere to food safety standards
