Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- One or more years of personal care experience with older adults preferred
- Must complete and pass competency evaluation within 120 days of employment
- Must complete state required training including Revised Fundamentals of Care, Dementia Care, First Aid, CPR, and HIV training if prior documentation not provided
- Must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily
- Current First Aid and CPR certification
- Food Handlers permit if required by state
- Ability to perform essential job duties with or without reasonable accommodation
Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- Provides direct resident care while promoting dignity, independence, and choice
- Observes and reports residents' physical and mental condition changes
- Assists with activities of daily living, vital signs, and weights
- Documents care services and observations accurately
- Reports and documents incidents and accidents immediately
- Assists residents to and from dining rooms and activities
- Performs First Aid and initiates emergency responses
- Greets residents, visitors, and staff courteously, answers phones when assigned
- Follows fire safety and infection control practices and reports unsafe conditions
- Serves meals and assists with dining room and kitchen cleanup
- Assists with tours, move-ins, move-outs, and transfers
- Helps with apartment housekeeping services and residents' laundry
- Attends and participates in training, in-services, and staff meetings
- Performs other related duties as assigned
