Prestige Senior Living - High Desert is a premier assisted living community located at 2660 NE Mary Rose Place on the east side of Bend, Oregon. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • One or more years of personal care experience with older adults preferred
  • Ability to perform essential job duties with or without reasonable accommodation
  • Completion and passing of competency evaluation within 120 days of employment
  • Current First Aid and CPR certification
  • Food Handlers permit if required by state
  • Must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • One or more years of personal care experience with older adults preferred
  • Completion and passing of competency evaluation within 120 days of employment
  • State-required training including Revised Fundamentals of Care, Dementia Care, First Aid, CPR and HIV if not previously certified
  • Ability to satisfactorily perform essential job duties
  • Current First Aid and CPR certification
  • Food Handlers permit if required by state
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work respectfully in a team environment

Job Duties

  • Provide direct resident care while promoting dignity, independence and choice
  • Regularly observe and report residents' physical and mental conditions
  • Assist with or perform activities of daily living, take vital signs and weights
  • Document care services, incidents and observations accurately
  • Assist residents to and from dining rooms and activities
  • Perform first aid and initiate emergency response procedures when necessary
  • Serve meals, provide tray delivery, and assist with dining room and kitchen maintenance
  • Assist with tours, move-ins, move-outs and resident transfers
  • Help with apartment housekeeping services and residents' laundry
  • Attend trainings, in-services and staff meetings
  • Respond promptly to assistance requests
