Job Requirements
- high school diploma or ged
- one or more years of personal care experience preferred
- current first aid and cpr certification required
- completion and pass of competency evaluation within 120 days
- willingness to complete state required training including fundamentals of care dementia care first aid cpr and hiv if prior training not documented
- ability to perform essential job duties with or without reasonable accommodation

Job Duties
- provides direct resident care promoting dignity independence and choice
- regularly observes residents’ physical and mental conditions and reports changes
- assists with or performs activities of daily living adls
- takes vital signs and weights
- documents care services and observations accurately
- reports and documents incidents and accidents immediately
- assists residents to and from dining room and activities
- performs first aid and initiates emergency response procedures
- greets residents visitors and staff courteously and answers phones when assigned
- follows and supports community fire safety and infection control practices
- serves meals and assists with dining room and kitchen maintenance
- assists with tours move-ins move-outs and transfers
- assists with apartment housekeeping and resident laundry
- attends and participates in training in-services and staff meetings
- performs other related duties as assigned
