Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or GED equivalent
  • able to read, write, and communicate effectively with the client and supervisor
  • able to use the Care Call IVR system
  • capable of assisting with activities of daily living
  • capable of following a care plan with minimal supervision
  • have valid driver’s license and reliable means of transportation
  • at least 18 years of age
  • passed competency testing or completed competency training and evaluation by an RN or LPN
  • other training as required by SCDHHS, Medicaid Scope of Services for Personal Care II and HASCI Attendant Care, SCDDSN, and Veterans Affairs

Job Qualifications

  • high school diploma or GED equivalent

  • capable of assisting with activities of daily living
  • able to use the Care Call IVR system
  • capable of following a care plan with minimal supervision

Job Duties

  • assist clients with eating
  • assist with bathing including bed baths and sponge baths
  • help with personal grooming and dressing
  • provide personal hygiene and skincare
  • plan and prepare meals
  • assist clients in and out of bed
  • reposition clients as necessary
  • assist with ambulation
  • toileting and maintaining continence
  • perform household cleaning
  • do laundry
  • shop for necessities
  • ensure home safety
  • run errands
  • monitor client condition and report changes
  • remind clients about medication times and hand over medication containers
