Job Requirements
- high school diploma or GED equivalent
- able to read, write and communicate effectively with client and supervisor
- able to use Care Call IVR system
- capable of assisting with activities of daily living
- capable of following a care plan with minimal supervision
- have valid driver’s license or reliable means of transportation
- at least 18 years of age
- passed competency testing or completed competency training and evaluation by RN or LPN
- other training as required by SCDHHS and/or Medicaid Scope of Services for Personal Care II and HASCI Attendant Care, SCDDSN, and Veterans Affairs

Job Duties
- assist with eating
- assist with bathing including bed bath, bench shower, sink/sponge bath
- assist with personal grooming including dressing
- maintain personal hygiene
- provide necessary skincare
- plan and prepare meals
- assist clients in and out of bed
- reposition clients as necessary
- assist with ambulation
- assist with toileting and maintaining continence
- perform cleaning
- do laundry
- do shopping
- ensure home safety
- run errands
- monitor client’s condition for apparent changes
- remind client of medication times and hand medication container
