Job Requirements

  • Must have verifiable caregiving experience
  • must complete agency employment and certification process
  • must be at least 18 years old
  • physically capable of performing duties
  • must exhibit mature and responsible behavior
  • must understand and maintain patient confidentiality
  • must be literate in English
  • must be able to follow instructions and report changes
  • must have reliable transportation

Job Qualifications

  • Experience verifiable through references
  • must complete employment and certification process at the agency
  • at least 18 years of age
  • physically able to perform job duties
  • mature and responsible behavior with patient confidentiality
  • ability to read, write, and speak English
  • able to follow directions and report changes in client condition accurately
  • reliable transportation to and from assignments

Job Duties

  • Planning and preparing meals according to client dietary requirements
  • maintaining a safe, clean, and healthy environment through light housekeeping including changing bed linens, dusting, vacuuming, cleaning kitchen and bathroom, and laundry
  • providing companionship and stimulation for clients including reading, walking, and accompanying to appointments
  • grocery shopping and running errands as needed
  • performing other housekeeping tasks as outlined in care plans
  • participating in in-service education programs
  • house sitting and pet sitting services
  • recording pertinent client care information
  • reminding clients to take medication on schedule
  • assisting with exercises and personal care tasks including hair care, oral hygiene, bathing, grooming, and dressing
  • assisting with ambulation and routine bodily functions such as toileting
