Job Requirements
- Must be able to communicate effectively verbally and in writing with scheduling coordinators
- must maintain confidentiality according to HIPAA regulations
- required to perform light housekeeping, meal preparation, laundry, and grocery shopping
- required to recognize and report changes in client status
- must assist with personal care as directed
- must complete agency training and in-service hours
- capable of physical tasks such as standing, walking, and lifting 10-40 lbs
- willingness to travel between members and run errands
Job Qualifications
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- ability to maintain confidentiality per HIPAA regulations
- ability to communicate with members who are hard of hearing, linguistically impaired, or emotionally distraught
- willingness to participate in agency activities including meetings and training
- ability to adhere to service plan goals
- physical capability to stand, walk, and lift between 10-40 lbs
- ability to travel between members' locations
- experience as a sitter, companion, or homemaker is a plus but not required
Job Duties
- Provide supportive household services by performing light housekeeping duties, laundry, grocery shopping, etc., prepare nutritious meals including medically prescribed diets, follow service plans goals tasks, document observations and activities, recognize and report any changes in client's physical, mental and social status to supervisor and agency staff, perform care and services with minimal or no client/family complaints, assist with personal care as directed by service plan goals, assist with advanced supportive restorative tasks after training, participate in agency activities including attending staff meetings and completing in-service hours, perform care hours as outlined in care plan, stand, walk, and lift between 10-40 lbs, travel between members and run errands
