Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or ged certificate
  • one or more years experience as hourly restaurant employee with denny's
  • must have successfully completed the pic development program
  • completion of all e-learning job code modules
  • management food safety certification
  • strong oral communication skills
  • ability to work weekends, holidays, and evenings
  • must be able to meet physical demands including lifting up to 50 lbs and tolerate extreme temperature changes
  • ability to operate point of sale system
  • compliance with health and safety regulations

  • must be able to serve all denny's menu products
  • must possess basic math skills (add, subtract, multiply and divide)
  • able to work around potentially hazardous chemicals
  • must be able to lift and carry supplies and equipment up to 50 lbs
  • must have sufficient mobility to move and operate in a confined work area

  • must be able to observe staff and all aspects of restaurant operations

Job Duties

  • promotes company mission, vision and core values
  • oversees a shift by leading other hourly employees in execution of and adherence to brand standards
  • coordinates and directs restaurant activities during the shift based on guest traffic flow
  • monitors sales, employee hours, and guest counts throughout the shift to ensure proper staffing
  • directs hourly employees to fulfill their job duties and priorities
  • coaches employees on guest service skills, the service cycle, and other guest focused activities to meet or exceed guest service standards
  • interacts with guests and inquires about food and service
