Job Requirements
- high school diploma or ged certificate
- one or more years experience as hourly restaurant employee with denny's
- must have successfully completed the pic development program
- completion of all e-learning job code modules
- management food safety certification
- strong oral communication skills
- ability to work weekends, holidays, and evenings
- must be able to meet physical demands including lifting up to 50 lbs and tolerate extreme temperature changes
- ability to operate point of sale system
- compliance with health and safety regulations

- must be able to serve all denny's menu products
- must possess basic math skills (add, subtract, multiply and divide)
- able to work around potentially hazardous chemicals
- must be able to lift and carry supplies and equipment up to 50 lbs
- must have sufficient mobility to move and operate in a confined work area
- must work inside and outside
- must be able to observe staff and all aspects of restaurant operations
- must be able to operate a point of sale system and differentiate between monetary denominations
- must be able to stand and walk throughout a 4 to 8 hour shift
- must be able to tolerate extreme temperature changes in kitchen and freezer areas
Job Duties
- promotes company mission, vision and core values
- oversees a shift by leading other hourly employees in execution of and adherence to brand standards
- coordinates and directs restaurant activities during the shift based on guest traffic flow
- monitors sales, employee hours, and guest counts throughout the shift to ensure proper staffing
- directs hourly employees to fulfill their job duties and priorities
- coaches employees on guest service skills, the service cycle, and other guest focused activities to meet or exceed guest service standards
- interacts with guests and inquires about food and service
