Job Requirements
- no formal educational qualifications required
- must meet physical demands including continuous walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, pulling, and pushing
- capable of handling heavy powered cleaning equipment weighing over 50 pounds
- able to work indoors and occasionally outdoors in varying weather
- must use personal protective equipment as needed
- must be reliable and dependable
- demonstrate dexterity and safety awareness

Job Duties
- perform janitorial and custodial services at the VA Medical Center
- use heavy powered cleaning equipment including wall washers and buffers
- maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in clinical and non-clinical areas
- follow safety protocols and use personal protective equipment when required
- handle weights and loads safely
- ensure visual inspection for dirt, dust, and debris
- coordinate with Perioperative Nurse Manager or designee
