Job Requirements
- one year experience utilizing clerical, computer, and receptionist skills
- current CNA certification with the CA Department of Health Services Licensing and Certification Board or current licensure with the California Board of Vocational Nursing
- current CPR recognition
- able to follow instructions, work quickly and accurately in a fast paced environment
- able to interact professionally and effectively communicate with physicians, staff, patients, and public
- sensitive to hospitalized patients and families
- capable of multitasking and using computers for support functions
- able to fulfill the essential functions of the position
Job Qualifications

- knowledge or experience with ancillary areas such as housekeeping, central supply, lab, or clerical desirable
- must have knowledge of medical terminology
- capable of using computers for a variety of support functions
- organizational and multitasking skills
Job Duties
- perform surgical scrub duties
- maintain acceptable levels of supplies
- provide timely turnover of patient areas
- transport non-controlled medications to and from pharmacy
- assist nursing and medical staff by acting as receptionist, unit liaison, unit secretary and certified nursing assistant
- perform selected nursing procedures as defined in the Patient Care Standards Manual
- coordinate special tasks and assist where needed under the supervision of a registered nurse
