Job Requirements

  • Minimum 1-3 years experience in culinary management role within athletic nutrition setting
  • Knowledge of nutrition needs of athletes
  • Ability to follow food safety and hygiene protocols
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to manage culinary staff effectively
  • Flexible to work varying hours including off-season periods
  • Culinary degree or related field preferred

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in culinary arts, nutrition, food science, or related field preferred
  • Minimum of 1-3 years experience in culinary management within athletic nutrition settings preferred
  • Knowledge of nutritional needs of athletes
  • Experience developing menus for dietary restrictions and food allergies
  • Strong understanding of food safety protocols including HACCP guidelines
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team
  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills

Job Duties

  • Develop recipes, source, build and implement menus focused on nutrient-dense foods to optimize health and performance
  • Implement procedures for serving, rotating, and storing food according to FIFO and food safety standards
  • Develop guidelines for discarding or returning products that do not meet organizational standards
  • Prepare meals for players, coaches, and staff including off-season business and administration lunches
  • Collaborate with team dietitians as part of the performance nutrition multidisciplinary team
  • Advise on culinary methods and techniques tailored to athletes' nutritional needs
  • Oversee culinary performance staff ensuring quality and consistency
