Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Culinary knowledge and experience
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Experience in a food service or kitchen environment preferred
  • Knowledge of nutrition principles beneficial

Job Duties

  • Perform basic cooking duties independently in preparing food items to be served to student-athletes
  • Guide and assist in training less experienced cooks when needed
  • Taste food products to ensure quality and flavor standards
  • Estimate food requirements and requisition necessary supplies and equipment
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen and food preparation areas
  • Collaborate with the Director of Athletics Food & Beverage Services to meet the dietary needs of athletes
  • Adapt work schedule to meet the needs of the department
