  • Ability to work full time with flexible scheduling

  • Skill in estimating food quantities and managing supplies

  • Commitment to maintaining safety and cleanliness standards

Job Qualifications

  • Ability to perform basic cooking tasks independently
  • Capability to train and assist junior cooking staff
  • Familiarity with food safety and sanitation practices
  • Good organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to work varying schedules as required

Job Duties

  • Perform basic cooking duties independently to prepare food items for student-athletes
  • Guide and assist in training less experienced cooks when needed
  • Taste and ensure the quality of food products
  • Estimate food requirements accurately and requisition necessary supplies and equipment
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area
  • Adhere to food safety and sanitation standards
  • Collaborate with the Athletics Food & Beverage Services team to meet departmental goals
