Job Requirements

Appropriate training and/or background in a similar setting
Must be able to lift a minimum of 25 lbs and carry objects
Must be able to push and pull carts
Must be able to continuously walk, sit and stand
Must be able to bend below waist, crouch, kneel, stoop and reach above shoulder height
Must be able to use cleaning equipment such as mops, brooms, vacuum cleaners, buffers and chemicals safely
Must be able to perform routine, repetitive tasks with consideration for residents, visitors and coworkers
Must project a positive attitude towards the service provided
Availability for per diem (as needed) shifts

Job Qualifications

Knowledge of cleaning practices and substances
Ability to maintain a clean and neat environment
Ability to identify cleaning needs and safety hazards
Ability to communicate in English both orally and in writing
Ability to perform frequent lifting, bending, stretching, kneeling and standing for extended periods
Previous housekeeping experience in health care or hospitality preferred
High school diploma or GED preferred
No certificates or licenses required

Job Duties

Promote the mission and core values of the Residence and LCB Senior Living to residents, visitors, co-workers and the surrounding community
As an associate, actively represent and interact positively with potential residents, family members and professionals to grow community occupancy
Thoroughly clean bathrooms including toilets, vanities, sinks, showers, shower seats and floors with appropriate cleaning solutions
Clean kitchen areas completely, including wiping counters, cleaning under objects and mopping floors
Empty wastebaskets and replace bags
Dust and polish all surfaces
Wipe off all surfaces including windowsills, woodwork and counters
Clean carpets by vacuuming, shampooing, deodorizing and disinfecting
Clean all common areas and common bathrooms daily and as often as needed
Maintain housekeeping carts in a clean, orderly manner
Remove, fold and return bed linens
Wash and fold linens
Clean and wash windows and dust blinds
Perform general pick-up outside as needed
Fill in other positions as needed when someone is out
Attend required in-service training and orientations
Other duties as assigned
