  • three to five years of culinary experience
  • must possess a valid Clark County Health Department Food Handler Safety Training card
  • ability to stand for extended periods
  • ability to exert physical effort up to 50 pounds occasionally
  • availability for shift and weekend assignments

  • knowledge of food measurement conversions
  • knowledge of food preparation techniques

  • effective communication skills
  • ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships

Job Duties

  • Prepare meal entrees and food for special functions
  • prepare the cafeteria and patient menus
  • prepare checklists for food handlers
  • ensure compliance with health and safety standards
  • monitor and assign work activities
  • maintain proper sanitation in food handling
  • use kitchen and cafeteria equipment safely
