Job Qualifications
- Associate degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school

Job Duties
- Travel through assigned territory to call on regular and prospective customers to solicit orders and new business
- prepare sales contracts and interface with customers on location or by phone
- take a leading role with contract negotiations, closing the sale and developing marketing plans for contract accounts
- operate route vehicle safely and maintain cleanliness and maintenance
- coordinate and lead sales meetings including agenda preparation
- ensure brand rotation according to supplier requirements
- establish good customer rapport through professional selling approaches
- properly account for all cash, credit proceeds, products removed from inventories, lighted signs, and other company assets
- solicit new business using product demonstrations, samples, marketing resources
- arrange products according to plans approved by management
- place price and descriptive signs on fixtures, merchandise, or floor
- transfer product from stock room to displays to comply with sell-by dates and maximize product availability
- order product for assigned accounts to prevent out of stocks
- originate or follow display ideas
- construct or assemble display aids from company provided materials
- estimate and coordinate delivery and shell pickup dates
- prepare business transaction reports and keep expense accounts
- wear and use appropriate company safety equipment
- perform other duties assigned by supervisors
- carry out supervisory responsibilities including interviewing, hiring, training employees
- plan, assign, and direct work
