Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field
- 3-5 years of experience in human resources or people management
- Knowledge of labor laws and HR best practices
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize deadlines
- Excellent problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HR software
- Ability to work in an office environment and sit for extended periods
- Ability to occasionally lift up to 20 pounds
- Willingness to travel occasionally for recruitment events or business needs
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field
- 3-5 years of experience in human resources or people management with exposure to recruitment, employee relations, and HR operations
- Knowledge of labor laws, HR best practices, and performance management processes
- Strong communication skills both written and verbal
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build trust with employees and leadership
- Excellent problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills
- In-depth understanding of HR principles, policies, and procedures
- Knowledge of diversity, equity, and inclusion best practices
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and HR management software
- SHRM-CP, PHR, or other relevant HR certifications preferred
- Previous leadership or managerial HR role preferred
Job Duties
- Manage day-to-day HR operations including employee relations, payroll, benefits administration, and record-keeping
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal employment laws, regulations, and company policies
- Lead the recruitment process including sourcing candidates, conducting interviews, and extending job offers
- Manage onboarding process for new hires ensuring smooth transitions and positive first impressions
- Assist in developing and implementing employee engagement initiatives to promote a positive, inclusive, and high-performing culture
- Support performance management programs including reviews, feedback, and goal setting
- Act as a point of contact for employee concerns and assist in conflict resolution and mediation
- Assist with the administration of compensation and benefits programs to ensure competitiveness and equity
- Monitor HR metrics including turnover, retention, engagement, and training completion and provide reports to management
- Promote employee wellness by organizing wellness programs and support services
