Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Two years of relevant experience preferred

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management, Psychology, or Business
  • Two years of experience in Human Resources or a related field preferred
  • Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
  • Experience with HRIS systems preferred, Workday knowledge a plus
  • Strong organization and time management skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and quick to learn new software
  • Ability to work collaboratively under pressure
  • Demonstrated confidentiality handling sensitive information
  • Skilled in preparing presentations on confidential topics
  • Capable of accurate and efficient multitasking
  • Strong critical thinking and independent judgment abilities

Job Duties

  • Schedule and coordinate weekly new hire orientation
  • Create new hire announcements and post to POET's intranet
  • Manage content in the Learning Management System and coordinate learning programs
  • Support team member and leader HR system transactions and workflows
  • Assist HR Specialist with Workday enhancements, testing, and drafting SOPs
  • Research updates on HR laws and support policy education
  • Manage offboarding process, conduct exit interviews, and ensure task completion
  • Support onboarding and employee experience initiatives
  • Administer POET's random drug and alcohol program
  • Compile and analyze People & Culture data
  • Draft letters, correspondence, and documents related to HR matters
  • Prepare and distribute materials for presentations, meetings, and events
  • Assist with ad-hoc People & Culture projects
  • Perform additional teamwork-related duties as assigned
