Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- prior experience in a customer service or food service role preferred
- ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- proficiency with point of sale (POS) systems
- strong communication skills in English
- completion of required certification programs such as Florida Responsible Vendor and food safety
- compliance with company safety and sanitation policies
- availability to work flexible shifts including evenings and weekends
Job Qualifications
- Can physically stand or walk 100 percent of shift
- can reach, bend, and stoop frequently
- able to deliver plates and clear tables of plates and glasses, which may require lifting up to 50 lbs
- ability to speak, read, and write English
- ability to read and write handwritten guest checks and notes
- complete and pass Florida Responsible Vendor program in compliance with Flanigan's and Florida statutes
- complete and pass food safety certification program in compliance with Flanigan's and Florida statutes
Job Duties
- Follow all company safety and sanitation policies and procedural training
- support fellow employees in maintaining table appearance and food/drink running as needed
- be knowledgeable regarding food and beverage menus, promotions, and specials, and answer guest questions clearly
- accurately write down guest orders and enter into POS system in a timely manner
- retrieve food or drink orders from kitchen or bar and deliver them promptly
- assess guests' demeanor and identify when to summon a manager
- collect guest payments through credit cards, cash, or gift cards, ensuring correct transactions and timely delivery of change
- perform shift changes, opening/closing duties, and assigned sidework
- restock and maintain restroom cleanliness for guests
