Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- 6 months shift lead experience for external candidates
- 4 months Pei Wei experience for internal candidates
- Certified food handler
- Ability to work all aspects of restaurant operations
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to stand and walk for four to ten hours per shift
- Ability to bend, reach, balance, and lift objects up to 30 lbs repeatedly
- Ability to hear and see with correction

Job Duties
- Certified/trained in culinary and front-of-the-house operations and can perform duties & coach/verify on a daily basis
- Certified food handler & can effectively teach and execute company safety and health procedures
- Effectively communicates (through live conversations, email, etc) to team members, management, & regional support office
- Acts as a role model in behaviors, dress, and guest interaction
- Exhibits desired Pei Wei behaviors & standards
- Effectively leads the team during the shift, through coaching, delegation, and verification
- Effectively follows/executes shift responsibilities as outlined on mod checklist - including admin, reporting, scheduling, SMG scores, cash handling, opening/closing duties, inventory/ordering
- Effectively supports the onboarding/training process including scheduling
- Performs cash handling procedures according to company policies
- Handles guest relations & can coach team on behaviors to improve guest experience
- Promptly escalates any employee relations concerns to the general manager
- Attends all store manager meetings
- Executes other tasks/duties as assigned
