Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • 6 months shift lead experience for external candidates
  • 4 months Pei Wei experience for internal candidates
  • Certified food handler
  • Ability to work all aspects of restaurant operations
  • Capacity to understand and use back-office systems
  • Ability to stand and walk for 4 to 10 hours per shift
  • Ability to lift and transport items weighing up to 30 lbs repeatedly
  • Ability to hear with 100 percent accuracy with correction
  • Ability to see at 20/20 vision with correction

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • 6 months shift lead experience for external candidates
  • 4 months Pei Wei experience for internal candidates
  • Certified food handler
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to coach and motivate team members
  • Knowledge of restaurant operations and back-office systems
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks during a shift
  • Commitment to company standards and guest satisfaction

Job Duties

  • Certified/trained in culinary and front-of-the-house operations and can perform duties and coach/verify on a daily basis
  • Certified food handler and can effectively teach and execute company safety and health procedures
  • Effectively communicates to team members, management, and regional supervisors
  • Acts as a role model in behaviors, dress, and guest interaction
  • Effectively leads the team during the shift through coaching, delegation, and verification
  • Effectively follows/executes shift responsibilities including admin, reporting, scheduling, SMG scores, cash handling, opening/closing duties, inventory/ordering
  • Supports the onboarding/training process including scheduling
  • Performs cash handling procedures according to company policies
  • Handles guest relations and coaches team to improve the guest experience
  • Escalates employee relations concerns to the general manager promptly
  • Attends all store manager meetings
  • Executes other assigned tasks/duties
