Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- 6 months shift lead experience for external candidates
- 4 months Pei Wei experience for internal candidates
- Certified food handler
- Ability to work all aspects of restaurant operations
- Capacity to understand and use back-office systems
- Ability to stand and walk for 4 to 10 hours per shift
- Ability to lift and transport items weighing up to 30 lbs repeatedly
- Ability to hear with 100 percent accuracy with correction
- Ability to see at 20/20 vision with correction
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- 6 months shift lead experience for external candidates
- 4 months Pei Wei experience for internal candidates
- Certified food handler
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Ability to coach and motivate team members
- Knowledge of restaurant operations and back-office systems
- Ability to manage multiple tasks during a shift
- Commitment to company standards and guest satisfaction
Job Duties
- Certified/trained in culinary and front-of-the-house operations and can perform duties and coach/verify on a daily basis
- Certified food handler and can effectively teach and execute company safety and health procedures
- Effectively communicates to team members, management, and regional supervisors
- Acts as a role model in behaviors, dress, and guest interaction
- Effectively leads the team during the shift through coaching, delegation, and verification
- Effectively follows/executes shift responsibilities including admin, reporting, scheduling, SMG scores, cash handling, opening/closing duties, inventory/ordering
- Supports the onboarding/training process including scheduling
- Performs cash handling procedures according to company policies
- Handles guest relations and coaches team to improve the guest experience
- Escalates employee relations concerns to the general manager promptly
- Attends all store manager meetings
- Executes other assigned tasks/duties
