Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Minimum 6 months shift lead experience for external candidates
  • Minimum 4 months Pei Wei experience for internal candidates
  • Certified food handler
  • Action oriented
  • Customer focused
  • Self motivated
  • Ability to stand and walk for 4 to 10 hours per shift
  • Ability to reach, bend, balance, and transport objects up to 30 lbs repeatedly
  • Ability to hear with 100 percent accuracy with correction
  • Ability to see 20/20 with correction

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Certified food handler
  • Experience leading shifts in a fast-casual restaurant environment
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to multitask and manage time effectively
  • Demonstrated leadership and team coaching abilities
  • Knowledge of safety and health regulations
  • Proficiency with back-office systems and cash handling
  • Customer service orientation
  • Problem-solving skills
  • Ability to handle stressful situations calmly

Job Duties

  • Certified and trained in culinary and front-of-the-house operations and can perform duties and coach or verify daily
  • Certified food handler and can effectively teach and execute company safety and health procedures
  • Effectively communicates to team members, management, and regional support office
  • Acts as a role model in behaviors, dress, and guest interaction exhibiting desired Pei Wei standards
  • Effectively leads the team during the shift through coaching, delegation, and verification
  • Follows and executes shift responsibilities including admin, reporting, scheduling, SMG scores, cash handling, opening/closing duties, inventory/ordering
  • Supports onboarding and training process including scheduling
  • Performs cash handling procedures according to company policies
  • Handles guest relations and coaches team on improving guest experience
  • Escalates employee relations concerns to general manager
  • Attends store manager meetings
  • Executes other tasks and duties as assigned
