Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Minimum 6 months shift lead experience for external candidates
- Minimum 4 months Pei Wei experience for internal candidates
- Certified food handler
- Action oriented
- Customer focused
- Self motivated
- Ability to stand and walk for 4 to 10 hours per shift
- Ability to reach, bend, balance, and transport objects up to 30 lbs repeatedly
- Ability to hear with 100 percent accuracy with correction
- Ability to see 20/20 with correction
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Certified food handler
- Experience leading shifts in a fast-casual restaurant environment
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to multitask and manage time effectively
- Demonstrated leadership and team coaching abilities
- Knowledge of safety and health regulations
- Proficiency with back-office systems and cash handling
- Customer service orientation
- Problem-solving skills
- Ability to handle stressful situations calmly
Job Duties
- Certified and trained in culinary and front-of-the-house operations and can perform duties and coach or verify daily
- Certified food handler and can effectively teach and execute company safety and health procedures
- Effectively communicates to team members, management, and regional support office
- Acts as a role model in behaviors, dress, and guest interaction exhibiting desired Pei Wei standards
- Effectively leads the team during the shift through coaching, delegation, and verification
- Follows and executes shift responsibilities including admin, reporting, scheduling, SMG scores, cash handling, opening/closing duties, inventory/ordering
- Supports onboarding and training process including scheduling
- Performs cash handling procedures according to company policies
- Handles guest relations and coaches team on improving guest experience
- Escalates employee relations concerns to general manager
- Attends store manager meetings
- Executes other tasks and duties as assigned
