Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Six months shift lead experience for external candidates
- Four months Pei Wei experience for internal candidates
- Certified food handler
- Ability to stand and walk for four to ten hours per shift
- Ability to reach, bend, balance, and transport objects up to 30 lbs repeatedly
- Ability to hear with 100 percent accuracy with correction
- Ability to see at 20/20 vision with correction
- Action oriented with ability to work hard at an appropriate pace
- Customer focused with skills to handle difficult situations and exceed expectations
- Self-motivated with passion for individual and team success
- Takes feedback positively and applies it to improve performance
- Maintains high performance without constant leadership presence
Job Qualifications

- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to coach and motivate a team
Job Duties
- Certified and trained in culinary and front-of-the-house operations and can perform duties and coach or verify daily
- Certified food handler and can effectively teach and execute company safety and health procedures
- Effectively communicates with team members, management, and regional support office
- Acts as a role model in behaviors, dress, and guest interaction exhibiting desired Pei Wei standards
- Effectively leads the team during shifts through coaching, delegation, and verification
- Executes shift responsibilities outlined on manager checklist including admin, reporting, scheduling, cash handling, opening and closing duties, inventory and ordering
- Supports onboarding and training process including scheduling
