Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • 6 months shift lead experience for external candidates
  • 4 months Pei Wei experience for internal candidates
  • Certified food handler preferred
  • Ability to stand and walk for 4 to 10 hours per shift
  • Ability to reach, bend, balance, and transport up to 30 lbs repeatedly during a shift
  • Ability to hear with 100 percent accuracy with correction
  • Ability to see at 20/20 vision with correction
  • Ability to effectively communicate with team members and guests
  • Ability to lead and coach a team
  • Commitment to brand and team
  • Self-motivated and performance driven

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Certified/trained in culinary and front-of-the-house operations and can perform duties and coach/verify on a daily basis
  • Certified food handler and can effectively teach and execute company safety and health procedures
  • Effectively communicates through live conversations, email, etc. to team members, management, and Regional Support Office
  • Acts as a role model in behaviors, dress, and guest interaction exhibiting desired Pei Wei standards
  • Effectively leads the team during the shift through coaching, delegation, and verification
  • Executes shift responsibilities as outlined on mod checklist including administration, reporting, scheduling, SMG scores, cash handling, opening/closing duties, inventory/ordering
  • Supports the onboarding and training process including scheduling
  • Performs cash handling procedures according to company policies
  • Handles guest relations and coaches team on behaviors to improve the guest experience
  • Escalates any employee relations concerns to the general manager promptly
  • Attends all store manager meetings
  • Executes other tasks and duties as assigned
