Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Six months shift lead experience for external candidates
  • Four months Pei Wei experience for internal candidates
  • Must be certified food handler
  • Ability to effectively communicate with team and management
  • Capacity to lead teams and coach employees
  • Ability to use back-office systems
  • Ability to perform physical tasks such as standing, walking for long periods, bending, reaching, and lifting up to 30 lbs
  • Visual and auditory capabilities corrected to 20/20 vision and 100 percent hearing accuracy
  • Commitment to brand values and customer focus
  • Action oriented and self motivated
  • Capable of handling difficult customer situations and escalating concerns appropriately

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Six months shift lead experience for external candidates
  • Four months Pei Wei experience for internal candidates
  • Certified food handler
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to lead and motivate a team
  • Knowledge of safety and health procedures
  • Proficiency in back-office systems
  • Ability to handle cash transactions accurately
  • Customer service skills

Job Duties

  • Certified and trained in culinary and front-of-the-house operations and can perform duties and coach and verify daily
  • Certified food handler and can effectively teach and execute company safety and health procedures
  • Effectively communicate with team members, management, and regional support office
  • Act as a role model in behaviors, dress, and guest interaction exhibiting Pei Wei standards
  • Lead the team during shifts through coaching, delegation, and verification
  • Follow and execute shift responsibilities including admin, reporting, scheduling, cash handling, opening and closing duties, inventory and ordering
  • Support onboarding and training processes including scheduling
  • Perform cash handling procedures according to company policies
  • Handle guest relations and coach team on behaviors to improve guest experience
  • Escalate employee relations concerns to the general manager promptly
  • Attend all store manager meetings
  • Perform additional tasks and duties as assigned
