Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • 6 months shift lead experience for external candidates
  • 4 months Pei Wei experience for internal candidates
  • Certified food handler
  • Ability to stand and walk for periods of four to ten hours per shift
  • Able to reach, bend, balance and transport objects up to 30 pounds repeatedly
  • Ability to hear with 100 percent accuracy with correction
  • Ability to see at 20/20 vision with correction
  • Action oriented

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • 6 months shift lead experience for external candidates
  • 4 months Pei Wei experience for internal candidates
  • Certified food handler
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to lead and motivate a team
  • Knowledge of culinary and front-of-house restaurant operations
  • Proficient in cash handling and administrative tasks
  • Ability to follow safety and health protocols
  • Customer service oriented

Job Duties

  • Certified and trained in culinary and front-of-the-house operations and can perform duties and coach/verify on a daily basis
  • Certified food handler and can effectively teach and execute company safety and health procedures
  • Effectively communicates through live conversations, email, etc., to team members, management, and regional supervisors
  • Acts as a role model in behaviors, dress, and guest interaction
  • Exhibits desired Pei Wei behaviors and standards and is a role model for dress, behavior, and interaction with guests and team members
  • Effectively leads the team during the shift through coaching, delegation, and verification
  • Effectively follows and executes shift responsibilities as outlined on mod checklist including administration, reporting, scheduling, SMG scores, cash handling, opening and closing duties, inventory and ordering
  • Supports the onboarding and training process including scheduling
  • Performs cash handling procedures according to company policies
  • Handles guest relations and can coach team on behaviors to improve the guest experience
  • Promptly escalates any employee relations concerns to the general manager
  • Attends all store manager meetings
  • Effectively executes other tasks and duties as assigned
