Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • 6 months shift lead experience for external candidates
  • 4 months Pei Wei experience for internal candidates
  • Certified food handler
  • Ability to stand and walk for four to ten hours per shift
  • Ability to reach, bend, balance, and transport objects up to 30 lbs repeatedly
  • Ability to hear with 100 percent accuracy with correction
  • Ability to see at 20/20 vision with correction
  • Ability to work varied shifts including weekends and holidays
  • Comfortable leading a team and taking initiative
  • Strong customer service orientation

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • 6 months shift lead experience for external candidates
  • 4 months Pei Wei experience for internal candidates
  • Certified food handler
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to lead and coach a team
  • Knowledge of health and safety procedures
  • Experience with cash handling
  • Problem-solving skills
  • Ability to maintain high performance and professionalism during shifts

Job Duties

  • Certified/trained in culinary and front-of-the-house operations and can perform duties and coach/verify on a daily basis
  • Certified food handler and can effectively teach and execute company safety and health procedures
  • Effectively communicates through live conversations, email, etc to team members, management, and RSO
  • Acts as a role model in behaviors, dress, and guest interaction
  • Exhibits desired Pei Wei behaviors and standards and is a role model for dress, behavior, and interaction with guests and team members
  • Effectively leads the team during the shift through coaching, delegation, and verification
  • Effectively follows/executes shift responsibilities as outlined on mod checklist including admin, reporting, scheduling, SMG scores, cash handling, opening/closing duties, inventory/ordering
  • Effectively supports the onboarding/training process to include scheduling
  • Effectively performs cash handling procedures according to company policies
  • Effectively handles guest relations and can coach team on behaviors to improve the guest experience
  • Promptly escalates any employee relations concerns to the general manager
  • Attends all store manager meetings
  • Effectively executes other tasks/duties as assigned
