Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Six months shift lead experience for external candidates
  • Four months Pei Wei experience for internal candidates
  • Certified food handler
  • Ability to work all restaurant aspects from guest service to kitchen execution
  • Capacity to understand and use back-office systems
  • Ability to stand and walk for four to ten hours per shift
  • Ability to reach, bend, balance, and transport objects up to 30 lbs repeatedly
  • Ability to hear with 100 percent accuracy with correction
  • Ability to see at 20/20 vision with correction
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to handle guest relations and employee concerns

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred

  • Certified food handler

  • Ability to manage cash handling procedures

  • Ability to perform administrative tasks
  • Ability to train and coach team members

Job Duties

  • Certified and trained in culinary and front-of-the-house operations and can perform duties and coach and verify on a daily basis
  • Certified food handler and can effectively teach and execute company safety and health procedures
  • Effectively communicates with team members, management, and RSO through live conversations, email, etc
  • Acts as a role model in behaviors, dress, and guest interaction, exhibiting desired Pei Wei behaviors and standards
  • Effectively leads the team during the shift through coaching, delegation, and verification
  • Effectively follows and executes shift responsibilities as outlined on mod checklist including admin, reporting, scheduling, SMG scores, cash handling, opening and closing duties, inventory and ordering
  • Supports the onboarding and training process including scheduling
