Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Six months shift lead experience for external candidates
  • Four months Pei Wei experience for internal candidates
  • Certified food handler
  • Ability to work standing and walking for four to ten hours per shift
  • Ability to reach, bend, balance, and transport objects up to 30 lbs repeatedly
  • Visual acuity with 20/20 vision with correction
  • Hearing ability with 100% accuracy with correction
  • Action oriented and energized by challenges
  • Committed to brand and team
  • Customer focused and handles difficult customer situations effectively
  • Self-motivated and receptive to feedback
  • Effective communication skills

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Six months shift lead experience for external candidates
  • Four months Pei Wei experience for internal candidates
  • Certified food handler
  • Strong communication skills
  • Leadership ability
  • Coaching and team management experience

Job Duties

  • Certified and trained in culinary and front-of-the-house operations and perform duties and coach/verify on a daily basis
  • Certified food handler and teach and execute company safety and health procedures
  • Effectively communicate with team members, management, and regional support office
  • Act as a role model in behaviors, dress, and guest interaction
  • Lead the team during shifts through coaching, delegation, and verification
  • Follow and execute shift responsibilities including admin, reporting, scheduling, cash handling, opening/closing duties, and inventory/ordering
  • Support onboarding and training process including scheduling
  • Perform cash handling procedures according to company policies
  • Handle guest relations and coach team to improve guest experience
  • Escalate employee relations concerns promptly to the general manager
  • Attend all store manager meetings
  • Execute other tasks and duties as assigned
