Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Six months of shift lead experience for external candidates
  • Four months of Pei Wei experience for internal candidates
  • Certified food handler
  • Ability to communicate effectively with team and management
  • Ability to lead and motivate a team
  • Ability to perform cash handling procedures
  • Ability to stand and walk for 4 to 10 hours per shift
  • Ability to reach, bend, balance, and transport objects up to 30 lbs repeatedly
  • Ability to hear and see with correction
  • Committed to brand and team

  • Availability to work scheduled shifts

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Six months of shift lead experience for external candidates
  • Four months of Pei Wei experience for internal candidates
  • Certification as food handler preferred
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to teach and coach team members
  • Proficiency in using back-office systems
  • Ability to perform multitasking under fast-paced work environment
  • Strong problem-solving and customer service skills

Job Duties

  • Certified and trained in culinary and front-of-the-house operations and can perform duties and coach and verify daily
  • Certified food handler and can effectively teach and execute company safety and health procedures
  • Effectively communicates with team members, management, and regional support office through various channels
  • Acts as a role model in behaviors, dress, and guest interaction demonstrating desired Pei Wei standards
  • Effectively leads the team during shifts through coaching, delegation, and verification
  • Follows and executes shift responsibilities including administrative tasks, reporting, scheduling, cash handling, opening and closing duties, inventory and ordering
  • Supports onboarding and training processes including scheduling
  • Performs cash handling procedures according to company policies
  • Handles guest relations and coaches team to improve guest experience
  • Escalates employee relations concerns promptly to the general manager
  • Attends all store manager meetings
  • Executes other assigned tasks and duties effectively
