Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Six months shift lead experience for external candidates
  • Four months Pei Wei experience for internal candidates
  • Certified/trained in culinary and front-of-the-house operations
  • Certified food handler
  • Ability to stand and walk for four to ten hours per shift
  • Ability to reach, bend, balance, and transport objects up to 30 lbs repeatedly
  • Ability to hear with 100% accuracy with correction
  • Ability to see 20/20 vision with correction

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Six months shift lead experience for external candidates
  • Four months Pei Wei experience for internal candidates
  • Certified/trained in culinary and front-of-the-house operations
  • Certified food handler
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to lead teams effectively
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills
  • Ability to coach and train team members
  • Knowledge of safety and health procedures

Job Duties

  • Certified/trained in culinary and front-of-the-house operations and can perform duties and coach/verify on a daily basis
  • Certified food handler and can effectively teach and execute company safety and health procedures
  • Effectively communicates through live conversations, email, etc to team members, management, and regional supervisors
  • Acts as a role model in behaviors, dress, and guest interaction exhibiting desired Pei Wei behaviors and standards
  • Effectively leads the team during the shift through coaching, delegation, and verification
  • Effectively follows/executes shift responsibilities including admin, reporting, scheduling, SMG scores, cash handling, opening/closing duties, inventory/ordering
  • Supports onboarding and training process including scheduling
  • Performs cash handling procedures according to company policies
  • Handles guest relations and coaches team on behaviors to improve guest experience
  • Escalates employee relations concerns promptly to general manager
  • Attends all store manager meetings
  • Executes other tasks/duties as assigned
